Damen Shipyards Stavanger
Damen Shipyards Stavanger was established in 2012 and serves as a sales and support office for Damen customers in the area. The Norway-based office offers Damen’s entire portfolio of vessels with a strong focus on the Offshore Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind, Public Transport and Aquaculture sectors.
As the offshore industries move into more remote areas with deeper waters and tougher conditions, Damen’s attention to R&D facilitates the constant development of offshore vessel design. Furthermore, the company’s fully customisable workboats provide the growing aquaculture industry with significant advantages.
Repair & Conversion
Damen Shiprepair & Conversion will provide Norwegian customers access to extensive repair and conversion facilities through a global network of repair yards. Damen Shiprepair & Conversion’s repair teams have the experience and knowledge to tackle all types of repair and conversion – with a reputation for short lead times, high quality work and minimal vessel downtime.
Member of the Norwegian Maritime Battery Forum
Damen Shipyards Stavanger is pleased to announce its membership of the Norwegian Maritime Battery Forum. The forum’s mission is to enable the country’s maritime cluster to deliver the most innovative, safe, competitive and environmentally friendly solutions for the future. The aims of the forum fit very well with Damen’s ambitions to reduce carbon footprint of vessels. Damen has significant expertise to offer the forum, we have delivered and have under construction hybrid tugs (ASD 2810 Hybrid) and the LNG powered ECO liner, which were the result of an extensive study into alternative propulsion trains and the use of batteries for workboats.
