Damen offers Azimuth Stern Drive Tug 2411 with proven design, quality and reliability, all of which contribute to lowering the total cost of ownership. Max bollard pull of Harbour tug is 70 t, the total power is 4200 BKW.
Damen has a range of standard Pusher Tug designs. As river and canal systems all over the world offer their own specific challenges we are also capable of offerings tailor made solutions.
The designs of the Damen Stan Tug series are based on extensive knowledge, experience and customer feedback. We offer multi-functional standard vessels, as well as custom-built, state-of-the-art designs.
The branch office Damen Area Support North America – representing the Damen Shipyards New building, and Damen Shiprepair & Conversion businesses across North America and Canada – started operating from its offices in the Energy Corridor of Houston on July 1st, 2016.
The historical city of Santiago is vibrant Cuba's second city after Havana. Over 25 years ago, it also became home to a unique shipyard: Damex.
Since then Damex has completed over 65 new-build vessels and many more repair projects for clients in Cuba and the wider region. Damex was designed from the ground up to handle custom and standardized new builds up to 80 meters. Moreover, the yard is capable of handling repair projects up to 100 meters in length. Through the combined strengths of Dutch shipbuilding knowledge and Cuban craftsmanship Damex has delivered a wide range of vessels from ferries to patrol boats and from tugs to bunker tankers for both national and international customers. As a part of the Damen shipyards group Damex is able to provide high level trained personnel, spare parts, and ship repair and maintenance services to clients in the Caribbean & Central America.
Recently the government of Curaçao and Damen Shipyards Group signed a concession agreement for the future operation of the current Curaçao Drydock Company. This strategic partnership between Damen and Curaçao fits into our strategy to further expand our repair and service activities worldwide. The facilities in Curaçao currently consist of two graven docks (280 x 48.00mtr and 193 x 26.5mtr) as well as approximately 2.000m of repair quays outfitted with 6 cranes.
