This is the first Damen vessel for Vostochny Port JSC, the largest stevedoring company in the Russian Far East, specializing mainly on coal handling with usage of conveyer equipment. The tug will start operations in early November 2012, when the stevedore will have all the necessary approvals and licenses, the company said. The tugboat was built at one of Damen's Chinese yards and arrived in the port of Vostochny (Primorsky Territory) on September 4, 2012. Vostochny Port is considering the purchase of more Damen vessels of this type.
