"Marineco Mariah" Delivery Details
Second HSSV 2610 Twin Axe for Marineco (UK). Late December 2011 Damen Shipyards Gorinchem delivered the 'Marineco Mariah' in time for her first job in a German Offshore Wind Farm on a long term charter. The 'Marineco Mariah' is a sister vessel to the 'Marineco Shamal'. These vessels are the first Twin Axe Offshore Wind Farm catamarans designed, built and delivered by Damen. UK-based Marineco is the first client to order the High Speed Support Vessel 2610 design. Since Marineco's first order, this offshore vessel design, also known as the Fast Crew Supplier 2610 has been sold to several companies in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and Sweden. Presently 34 vessels are under construction at various Damen locations worldwide and Damen is able to deliver some of these from stock. The 'Marineco Mariah' has already proven to be capable of docking in extreme weather conditions, transferring personnel safely in over 2.5 m waves.
