Damen Modular Construction

Damen Services supplies modular construction solutions in barge and dock formations. Our solutions give our customers flexibility and independence for all their barge and dock requirements. It’s ideal for small and low-risk start-ups. Our dock and barge solutions are easy to transport, maintain and operate. These are flexible solutions able to grow along with our customer’s business.

The Damen Modular Barge (DMB)

The DMB is suitable for heavy-duty purposes in all waters. This solution consists of 20 ft and 40 ft container-sized barge modules that can easily be put together. These modules are connected with our proven design coupling system: The Damen Link. Our range is unlimited, anything is possible; from flattop barges, Multi Cats and Pushers to Dredgers, Drilling Barges and Ferries. We also offer additional options:
- Raked fore and aft ship modules
- Propulsion units
- Accommodation units
- Fendering
- Holding tanks
- Wooden deck covering
- Ramps
- Various crane configurations
The Damen Modular Dock (DMD)

We also offer the Damen Modular Dock to create any dock solution our customer needs. The possibilities include cranes, accommodation units and roller blocks to workshop units, sandblast curtains and dock mooring systems. The Modular Dock consists of two wing walls that are coupled to a number of individual pontoons. This offers several advantages to our customers:
- Dock can be extended at a later date
- Maintenance friendly
- Straightforward design suitable for local construction, including remote areas
- Self-maintaining (pontoons can be docked inside the DMD)
- Modules and wing walls are coupled afloat
- Own electrical power
- Simple securing of a dock vessel by using winches
- The tank top of the modular dock is designed with sufficient capacity for a forklift
