Tugboat overhaul completed
From our Panama service hub, in partnership with Zeppelin Power (Caterpillar), we carried out a major overhaul of the C7.1 generator engines on two SAAM Towage tugboats, SAAM Acaxual and SAAM Centzunat.
During the process, our engineers detected an additional fault beyond the standard scope. Acting swiftly, we sourced and delivered the required component without delay, ensuring the maintenance schedule remained on track.
To further support SAAM Towage, we managed parts logistics and coordinated with an external workshop for aftercooler cleaning. This proactive approach guaranteed minimal downtime and preserved the operational availability of both vessels, enabling SAAM Towage to maintain uninterrupted service for its clients.
