Based in the heart of The Netherlands, in the famous polders, the Damen Dredging Equipment yard is the dredging equipment specialist within the Damen Shipyards Group. The new build yard is fully equipped for the complete dredging building process from design through manufacture to testing along its own quay.

A modern dredge building yard

As specialised dredging yard withing the Damen Shipyards Group, Damen Dredging Equipment produces a continuous flow of dredging equipment. This dredge equipment includes stationary dredgers such as CSDs, autonomous booster stations, DOP pumps and an array of dredging mission equipment. The quality of the dredging gear is continuously monitored, the outstanding quality achieved has resulted in worldwide deliveries.

Dredge manufacturing resources

The dredging yard is a completely specialised yard dedicated to dredge manufacturing only. The premises comprise the design office for all dredging engineering, the production halls with separate machining facility and assembly hall, plus a spacious outdoor assembly and testing area.

Efficient production facilities

The yard includes two separate construction halls which are NEN-EN-689:2018 OELV compliant, and include numerous work stations for MIG/MAG/TIG welding. The ample overhead crane capacity, the noise reduction provisions and air treatment systems ensure a safe working environment.

The complete building process at one location

The Damen Dredging yard comprises all activities required to build dredgers and dredging components such as dredge pumps or dredge valves. The dredge yard combines long standing knowledge of construction, assembly and machining as all activities are carried out on location. The available quay length of 175 meter allows for on-site testing.
