Former German water police vessel sold
Used patrol vessel sold to Turkey
The Zeevalk (ex Dithmarschen) is a coastal patrol vessel originally built for the German Water Police. Constructed under yard number 1463 by Husumer Schiffswerft in Husum, Germany, the vessel has enjoyed a long and distinguished career. Following her retirement from police service, the vessel was employed in some other roles and remains in remarkably good condition after 47 years of operation.
Her most recent owner, Dutch Marine Service van Helden, took good care of the vessel.
Originally built as Police boat Dithmarschen
Through our brokerage services, the vessel has now been sold to Zeymarine, based in Istanbul, Turkey. After delivery to Antwerp, Belgium, Zeymarine arranged heavy-lift transport to Gabon, where the vessel will be deployed in a local port to support diving, underwater repair and hull cleaning operations. We congratulate both Buyer and Seller on the successful completion of this transaction and wish the new owner every success and safe operations with this tough vessel.
