Damen has unrivalled experience in refitting ships of all types, with a steady flow of mobilisations, upgrades and refurbishments passing through its yards. Mobilising and demobilising vessels for new offshore projects can involve a range of activities. Jack-up rigs come to us to have spud can shoes replaced or their legs lengthened. Wind farm installation vessels require longer crane booms to match the new generation of turbines, as well as the installation or removal of grillages and blade racks. Other projects include the installation and removal of cable carousels and gangway access systems.
