Tailored support for new Pakistan Navy vessels

Ensuring operational availability for the Pakistan Navy through local presence

Damen Services Middle East plays a key role in the successful delivery and continued performance of the Pakistan Navy’s fleet, including the latest Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) and ASD Tug additions.

We provided comprehensive support for the delivery of these new ships. Our client benefited from comprehensive warranty coverage, recommissioning, training, spare parts deliveries, and technical support. Our experienced local project manager is on site to oversee every stage of the project, ensuring smooth coordination and timely execution. Field support is always available through our skilled engineers, who provide technical expertise and hands-on service for every assignment. We also delivered bespoke training programmes to both the crew and technical staff, thereby strengthening operational readiness. Through flexible service contracts, we ensure that spare parts and continued support are available throughout the vessel’s lifecycles.

Pakistan navy receives two more OPVs

We are continuing our support as the Pakistan Navy has taken delivery of two additional Yarmook-class OPVs in 2024, with the latter being delivered at the end of 2024 and officially commissioned into service in April 2025. These new additions bring the total number of Yarmook-class OPVs delivered by Damen Shipyards to four. Together, they significantly enhance the Navy’s maritime security capabilities in the Indian Ocean.

Three ASD Tugs for Pakistan Navy

Our commitment dates back to earlier successful projects, including the delivery of three ASD Tug 2009 vessels, built in partnership with Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works and completed in 2019. Constructed locally under Damen’s technical supervision, these tugs are now fully integrated into Pakistan’s naval operations.
