Damen Naval supports our customers with various digital solutions to increase efficiency and quality of the in-service support activities. Our digital solutions are completely focused on and specifically designed for the naval operational arena.
Autonomous Asset Management System (A2M)
A2M is a deployed system which runs autonomously on board a naval vessel. With the integrated health monitoring system, advanced algorithms can use the ship’s data to perform predictive maintenance. The A2M system is available under a conventional license agreement or as a Software As A Service (SAAS) solution.
Electronic Interactive Technical Manual
Within Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), technical documentation data modules (according to ASD-S1000D) can be developed which can be shown on a special technical manual viewer. This data-driven technical documentation approach proves its efficiency in documentation management over the lifecycle of the vessel. Currently, Damen Naval is developing a way to integrate this viewer into the A2M software to ensure a seamless integration of data and excellent configuration management control.
Training simulation and Virtual Reality
Damen Naval provides training simulation equipment to enable our customers to train their crews onshore in a rotating crew concept. As a result, training onboard can be reduced, which means that lifecycle costs can be reduced, and a ship’s operational availability is increased. In addition to conventional simulation equipment, Damen Naval also provides innovative Virtual Reality training solutions using serious gaming.
