Shiplifts on Damen yards
Albwardy Damen Shipyards in Sharjah operates a shipbuilding and repair facility centred around a shiplift and transfer system. Vessels are lifted and transferred along a transverse transfer pit with four transfer lanes, providing access to dry berths on both sides. This layout maximises yard flexibility and efficiency, allowing multiple vessels to undergo maintenance, repair and conversion simultaneously while making optimal use of waterfront and repair facilities.
