Modular Multi Cats
The Damen Modular Multi Cat is a versatile, multipurpose vessel designed for operations such as anchor handling, dredging support, towing, and surveying. The entire hull consists of modules – Damen Modular Barges – some of which are container sized units. These can be coupled with a class-approved coupling system, the Damen Link. Because of this modular system, the entire vessel can be transported by ship, truck or train to its destination and assembled locally.

Because the vessel is built from container-sized units, transport becomes easier to plan across road, rail or sea, enabling operations in remote or landlocked locations.

One platform can support towing, pushing, anchor handling, dredging support, crane operations and supply tasks.
Reconfigure when the project changes
Cranes, accommodation, propulsion and mission equipment can be configured around the initial scope and adjusted as requirements evolve, providing room to redeploy the vessel for future projects.
Built for shallow and working waters
Shallow-draught capability supports nearshore, dredging and inland operations in limited depths. A large working deck, crane capability and winch equipment ensure the vessel’s practical capabilities.
Support after delivery
Our role does not stop at handover. With global services, spare parts, technical support, maintenance options and financing, we help throughout the vessel’s working life.

A selection of tailor-made Modular MuCs
Our client required dredging support vessels for an inland oil sands project, where access by water was not possible and delivery timelines were tight. The vessels needed to be transported over land, assembled on-site, and handle towing and anchor work on location.
We addressed this by delivering two modular Multi Cats, built in transportable sections and assembled near the operation. Our series build strategy enabled delivery within months, keeping the project on schedule and ready for deployment.
