Ensuring safety at sea takes on multiple forms, both mostly non-military but at times and military in nature. On the one hand it’s about protecting life, for example via search and rescue capabilities. Our portfolio offers numerous options to enforce this capability, from RHIBS, through patrol vessels, right up to submarine rescue platforms.

At another level, safety at sea can only be guaranteed if the environment itself is kept safe. With our goal to become the world’s most sustainable shipbuilder, Damen is acutely aware of the need to protect our marine environment. This is why we focus on building vessels that operate cleanly and efficiently as well as those that can perform roles aimed at sustaining the maritime environment for the next generation.
