The OPV 2600 provides extended mission capabilities. Its economic propulsion package features four diesel engines and two controllable pitch propellers. The vessel is suited for extensive weapons suites, including a main gun of up to 76 mm while secondary and smaller guns are available. It also has capacity for five additional mission modules such as ASW (side scan sonar), MCM, UAV/USV, pollution control, hospital facilities, diving support, as well as energy and water-making facilities and more.
